Solar Technology Provider SMA selects DHC Vision
DHC Vision is a process management software which is based on Microsoft Visio and includes the following modules: process modelling, balanced scorecard, document management and workflow. In DHC Vision, SAP functions are linked with process models via SAP interface.
The first step to holistic business process management at SMA involved modelling SAP-supported business processes in DHC Vision, based on around 150 standard SAP business process models from DHC. The SAP system at SMA has around 500 users around the globe operating in production, procurement, sales and finance organizations. For the documentation of SAP processes, process cycles were represented graphically and their corresponding documents, such as requirement specifications and business blueprints, have linked with business process models. All the objects are administered in the DHC Vision database and information on a business process is accessible via a click on the intuitively operated DHC Vision Cockpits. Since DHC is also an SAP consultancy company, we additionally facilitated the designing of SAP business processes.

The next step is the adoption of SMA quality management systems in DHC Vision according to ISO 9001:2000 and integration of the SOA initiative. DHC Vision serves here as a pivot for SMA business process management. The goal is a standardised and harmonised business management, IT and quality management design on the basis of consistent business process models with the use of a software platform.
